Say "Hello" to the Team!

Each member of the Families Helping Families team shares and strives to achieve the values and visions of the Clinton Community.  We hope to meet you in person or at an event or just around town soon!

Board of Directors

Miner Vincent

Miner is a lifelong Clinton resident with strong ties to the community.  He is retired from a long career in retail management and fills his days working with his church here in town and spending time with his wife Blanche - and Families Helping Families, of course! His unstoppable work ethic has been a driving factor in bringing FHF to where it is today.

Lynn Hydek

In March, 2023 Lynn will have called Clinton home for 50 years. She loves the kindness and generosity that flow through its people.
While she shared the joys of books with two generations of kids in town as Children’s Librarian at the HCH Library, she can share real-life stories about the numerous ways Families Helping Families has helped our neighbors in need. She’s been part of FHF since its inception, and always eager to chat about the tangible ways that your donations have fed families, warmed homes and supported children’s needs.
Lynn volunteers with the Clinton Community Assistance Team, an opportunity to learn about challenges that our Senior population faces. Lynn feels so fortunate to interact with a wide range of folks who also call Clinton home.

Vincent DeMaio

Vince is currently the Chief of Police at the Clinton Police Department. He has over 34 years of law enforcement service in the State of Connecticut. Vince is passionate about service and helping others in need. He has paired the Clinton Police Department with numerous community groups and charities, which help deliver non-traditional services to the community. Initiatives such as food and health assistance, community engagement events and finding creative ways to improve the quality of life for all of our Clinton and Shoreline residents.

David Lee

Dave is retired after 45 years in the telecom and Cable industry ending his career as President of Thames Valley Communications in Groton. He served Clinton as police commissioner from 2002 and retired in 2011, serving as Chairman of the board. Dave served 6 years in the Air Force and is currently on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Families Helping Families. Dave has been in Clinton since 1977.
