Board of Directors

Miner Vincent

Miner spent his career at in management and working with people - upon retiring he noticed a gap in the community while he was donating food and goods to The Clinton Food Pantry.  This led to him founding Families Helping Families in 2006.  For the last 16 years he has worked tirelessly to ensure every member of the Clinton community does not suffer from food insecurity or lack heat during the winter, sponsored many programs for Clinton kids and joined forces with local leaders to enrich the quality of life in our small Shoreline town.

Lynn Hidek, Vice President

In March, 2023 Lynn will have called Clinton home for 50 years. She loves the kindness and generosity that flow through its people.
While she shared the joys of books with two generations of kids in town as Children’s Librarian at the HCH Library,  she can share real-life stories about the numerous ways Families Helping Families has helped our neighbors in need. She’s been part of FHF since its inception, and always eager to chat about the tangible ways that your donations have fed families, warmed homes and supported children’s needs.
Families Helping Families is responsive to people who need help. Lynn volunteers with the Clinton Community Assistance Team, an opportunity to learn about challenges that our Senior population faces.
Lynn feels so fortunate to interact with a wide range of folks who also call Clinton home.

David Lee, Treasurer

Dave retired after a 45-year career in the Telecom and Cable industry ending as President of Thames Valley Communications in Groton. He served Clinton as police commissioner from 2002, retiring in 2011 as Chairman.  Dave served in the Air Force and credits his service for a lot of his success in life. He is currently on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Families Helping Families. Being a Clinton resident since 1977 has given him deep roots within the town and his association over the years with Families Helping Families enriched and sealed the bond. Helping people by giving them the lift in life they need at that moment they need it has strengthened the connection and gives him great enjoyment and satisfaction.
